Sailing directly off the pebbled beach, this cruise lets you discover some of the highest peaks and most staggering cliffs in the Triassic section of the Jurassic Coast at Sidmouth. Nestling under the Triassic red cliffs and green hills of the Sid Valley, the regency town of Sidmouth has been a destination for visitors and holidaymakers for hundreds of years.

The town started out as a fishing village, sadly the lack of shelter in the bay stopped it from developing into a port. Instead, during the 18th century it saw considerable growth and development when the popularity of seaside resorts grew. This can clearly be seen in the architecture of the buildings which give the town its timeless and charming atmosphere.

We board the boat directly from the beach opposite the Bedford Hotel before we sail out into the bay. Here you can experience and appreciate the true magnificence of this stretch of coast and why, as a World Heritage Site, it sits alongside the Galapagos Islands and the Great Barrier Reef in terms of its outstanding international importance.

These cruises sail on our Pride of Exmouth boat where onboard you will find a fully licenced bar serving a range of hot and cold refreshments and snacks. Keeping its traditional features, this boat is also modern, exceptionally clean and well maintained and has toilets on board.

The outside upper decks have great views and plenty of fresh sea air for your lungs, whilst our covered and heated lower decks have large wide windows, meaning you will always get great views of the coastline, wildlife and scenery!

This trip is suitable for people with good mobility as we will be departing and arriving directly off the beach at Sidmouth. As this is a sea-going cruise, the sea state can be affected by the weather and the winds. If the weather conditions are unsuitable for a pleasant trip, we reserve the right to cancel. In these circumstances, we will offer to transfer you onto another date or issue you with a refund.
