General FAQs
Yes, we welcome well behaved dogs on board, we just politely ask that they are kept on a lead at all times and remind owners that they are their responsibility at all times. There are some cruises that may not be suitable for dogs due to the time length and the nature of the cruise, these include but are not exclusive to our Air show cruises, Fireworks cruise and Sail with Santa, please get in touch if you are unsure.
You can find information on local car parks and how to find us on our Find Us page.
Yes, we run a range of cruises all year round and they vary depending on the time of year. In the summer months we offer a range of coastal and river cruises, day trips and evening special events. In the winter months we sail only on the calm waters of the River Exe, which is famous for its birdlife making our Guided Bird Watching cruises hugely popular. Along with our Christmas events including Sail with Santa and Festive Specials. There will always be something for you to enjoy, no matter the time of year! Have a look at our timetable to see what we have available now.
Both of our vessels can cater for the physically disabled or those with limited mobility. The Tudor Rose can take a maximum of two manual wheelchairs. The Pride of Exmouth varies at the discretion of the skipper. Anyone who is confined to a wheelchair must have a carer with them in case of emergency.
Please have a look at our accessibility statement for more information for wheelchair users. We have a speaker system located throughout our boats, but we do not have a hearing loop. Our crew will be happy to assist passengers with hearing difficulties to sit in the most suitable place. There are also commentary sheets available on the River Exe Cruise.
A virtual tour of our vessels is available on our website here for those with anxiety, autism or similar disabilities who may need to plan or understand the boats before arrival.
Unfortunately, due to the close proximity of passengers on our public cruises, we do not allow smoking on board our vessels as we are unable to provide a designated area. Smoking is permitted on our Private Charters on the top deck only.
The answer to this question varies depending on the individual! If you are prone to motion sickness, then we would always recommend a River Exe Cruise as we can guarantee calm waters all year round. Any seagoing cruises such as our Jurassic Coast Cruise and Day Trip to Torquay or Brixham, can be affected by the winds, which can cause waves which some passengers may be sensitive to. If you are not sure please speak to us before booking your ticket as we want all passengers to enjoy their trip with us.
