Yes. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome on the majority of our cruises free of charge. Please note that dogs are not permitted on some of our cruises to ensure dog comfort. You can find our dog-friendly timetable here.
The answer depends on which departure point you need. We recommend looking at our departure points page where all the car parks are listed.
Yes, we run a range of cruises all year round and they vary depending on the time of year. In the summer months we offer a range of coastal and river cruises, day trips and evening special events. In the winter months we sail only on the calm waters of the River Exe, which is famous for its birdlife making our Guided Bird Watching cruises hugely popular. Along with our Christmas events including Sail with Santa and Festive Specials. There will always be something for you to enjoy, no matter the time of year! Yes. We pride ourselves on being accessible. Our vessels can accommodate standard manual wheelchairs. For booking, please contact us in advance so we can ensure the best possible boarding experience and suggest the best trip based on tides. No. For the comfort and safety of all passengers, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in all areas of our vessels on public trips.
Smoking is permitted on our Private Charters on the top deck only at the Captain's discretion.
It is unlikely on our River Cruises. Most of our cruises take place on the calm, sheltered waters of the River Exe Estuary. For coastal cruises, we monitor sea conditions closely and will not sail if the conditions are unsuitable for passenger comfort. It does very much depend on the individual as to if they will suffer from sea sickness on our Coastal Trips however, it is rare for people to suffer.
We sail rain or shine. Our boats feature large, undercover heated lower decks with panoramic windows, ensuring you can enjoy the views of the Jurassic Coast or River Exe while staying dry and warm.
How do I redeem my gift voucher? To redeem your voucher, simply give our friendly team a call on 01395 222144. Please have your unique voucher number to hand when you call, and we will be delighted to check availability and get your cruise booked in.
Please note that we are currently unable to accept vouchers through our online booking system, so over-the-phone booking is required.
Do I need to bring my physical voucher on the day of the cruise? Yes, please. You must bring your original physical gift voucher with you on the day of your trip and hand it to our crew as confirmation when boarding. We are unable to accept copies or digital versions, so please keep it in a safe place ahead of your cruise!
Tickets/Bookings FAQs
The quickest and easiest way to book is online via our Timetable page. When you book, you will receive a confirmation by email with all of the details for the cruise you have booked.
You can also book tickets over the phone. You will need to pay in advance for any bookings that you make either online, over the phone or in person at our booking offices.
Yes. We strongly recommend booking in advance via our website to guarantee your space, as our popular cruises often sell out, particularly during school holidays and the summer season.
If you have purchased a ticket for a cruise and it is your choice not to sail, we cannot offer you a refund. Many of our cruises are fully booked in advance and we have to turn people away. We will only offer refunds if we have made the decision to cancel a trip.
If we receive enough notice to be able to resell your tickets then you may be offered to transfer your tickets to a later date, however this is at the managers discretion and their decision is final.
Some of our cruises are subject to weather, tide, and local conditions. Your safety aboard our boats is paramount to us and therefore it is sometimes necessary to cancel or postpone a trip.
The River Exe is very calm, and these cruises are rarely affected. However, any seagoing cruises can be affected by changes to the weather, especially strong winds. It is advisable to call us on 01395 222144 if you are unsure about the status of your cruise, particularly if you are travelling a long distance to us. If we cancel your cruise you will receive the option to transfer your ticket to another date or receive a refund.
Yes, both of our vessels are available for exclusive boat hire from Exmouth and a few other locations, please view our Private Charter page for information and prices.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This allows for smooth boarding and ensures the boat can depart promptly on the tide. The departure time can be found on your booking confirmation email or our timetable page.
Facilities FAQs
Yes. All our vessels are equipped with clean, well-maintained toilet facilities that are accessible throughout the duration of your cruise.
Yes. We have a fully licensed bar on board serving a range of hot and cold beverages, local ales, and light snacks like crisps, chocolate and nuts. Most of our boats also feature a heated lower deck for your comfort.

Yes. We are a family-friendly service and can accommodate prams and buggies on our lower decks. Our crew is always on hand to assist with boarding. We have a wide range of cruise options that are suitable for children.
Due to the confines of the vessels, baby changing facilities are limited. We have a baby changing mat available. Please ask a member of crew to get this for you.
