English Riviera Airshow 2024

From the birds on the Estuary in last months newsletter, to a different type of bird! The English Riviera Air Show – have released more details about this years airshow. Previously the Torbay Air Show – is a magnificent flying feast for the eyes.  This is the first show of the RAF’s busy summer season and includes displays from their top line-up including The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Eurofighter Typhoon jet. Using the natural amphitheatre of the bay, the planes certainly have a major wow factor being piloted by a world class team of pilots. You can choose to experience the show along with 165 000 spectators, or you can join us from closer to the flight path whilst enjoying the show from the water.

Calling all budding photographers

March saw the first day of Spring! There is something magical about Spring on the water and the views are breathtaking! Even during the rain we have had the past few days!

To celebrate the arrival of Spring, we thought we would have a friendly competition! Head over to our Facebook page to read the rules and enter for your chance to win a free cruise for 2 people!

Our 2024/25 Leaflets are here

Our brand new leaflet is literally hot off the press and is already being picked up by eager passengers-to-be!

It is so satisfying to get our new leaflet each year. It symbolises so much hard work which goes into meticulously planning our schedule for the year. Trust me, running the cruises is the easy bit!

This year, our leaflet contains something new, a new trip for 2024! We shall not give away the surprise that easily but I wonder if you can spot what the new trip is?

Stuart Line attends BTTS!

March saw Lauren, our resident, non-stop PR machine, attend the British Tourism & Travel Show 2024 (BTTS24 for short) event at the NEC in Birmingham. The show is a driving force behind planning exciting trips for tour operators, and we at Stuart Line Cruises were there to help support Devon at the Devon Attractions and Tourism Associations stand alongside our neighbours at the World of Country Life, Kents Cavern and Seaton Tramway (to name but a few). The event was well attended and has helped put Devon as a “must visit” destination for tour operators throughout the UK. We are super proud to help Devon and Exmouth as a destination, with many events planned to help push the region planned already. What do you love about Devon?

New team members!

The Stuart Line family has grown this month with the appointment of a new staff members. We would like to welcome Fiona and Amanda to the team who will be looking after all your bookings and helping to ensure the trips are run smoothly, giving you all the best possible experience whilst sailing with us.

There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, and in following newsletters, we thought it would be nice to share what goes on behind the scenes to help bring you a busy year of sailing, every year!

Exmouth is a winner!

Exmouth has been voted as one of the top places to live in the UK by The Sunday Times and what can we say? We 100% agree! I know, I know, we are bias but we really do consider ourselves lucky to be able to call Exmouth our home!

We were only to eager to share the news and posted about this on our Facebook page where we asked “What did The Sunday Times miss out from the article?”. Read the comments here and see if you agree.

WHAT WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT

We have had the first private charters for the year with some great groups enjoying the River.

Mid-March, we enjoyed our first Birthday Party Private Charter of the year and what a wonderful spread Exe Catering treated us to!

We are very much looking forward to many more events this year!

Thank you

Thank you for joining us on this journey and for supporting our small, family run business by choosing to read our newsletter and by joining our cruises – we love to connect with you in this way and really hope that you find our updates interesting and informative.

We are so excited for all that this year will bring and we are ever-grateful for your support and very much look forward to welcoming you aboard again soon!

Kindest Regards,

Captain Jake, Lauren, Philippa and all the Crew
