A Match Made in Devon: Welcoming Foxcombe Bakehouse
At Stuart Line Cruises, we have always believed that the secret to a memorable day on the water lies in the details. While the stunning views of the Jurassic Coast or River Exe do much of the heavy lifting, a truly great excursion is made complete by the warm hospitality and the treats we serve on board.
That is why we are so incredibly proud to be stocking Foxcombe Bakehouse. As a family-run business ourselves, we recognize the same passion for excellence and service with Foxcombe Bakehouse, that we strive to provide to our passengers every day. Their award-winning bakes are a fantastic addition to our galley, offering our guests a true taste of Devon that is both high quality and excellent value.
We’ll hand over to Helen from Foxcombe Bakehouse to share the story behind these delicious treats.
A Passion for Baking: The Foxcombe Story
Foxcombe Bakehouse has evolved in many ways over the years but at our heart we have remained true to one simple thing – a love of baking.
It all began over 25 years ago at my kitchen table on our family farm in rural Devon where I started baking and selling cakes at local pannier markets. What began as a small passion project grew to something I could never have imagined. Our award-winning cakes, biscuits and sweet treats are now enjoyed by many customers across the Southwest and beyond.
We are supplying Stuart Line Cruises with a range of delicious scones and traybake bars including caramel shortbread and an array of flapjacks with vegan and gluten free options. We are excited to be working with Stuart Line Cruises; a company that shares our appreciation in creating memorable moments for customers through quality and experience. Here at the Bakehouse, we feel our handcrafted bakes are a perfect fit for your time on the water while taking in incredible surroundings along Exmouth.
Baked with Care for the Environment
We are deeply committed to doing things the right way and believe that our baking should also be kind to the environment that we share.
- Plastic Free: All our packaging is plastic free. It may look like plastic, but we can assure you, it is not!
- Compostable: We use Natureflex film which is certified compostable and biodegradable.
- Sustainable: All our boards are accredited with a Forest Stewardship Council certification.
- Local Sourcing: We also try to use local British ingredients wherever possible.
Baking has been a passion of mine since a young age and it is a privilege to continue to share that with so many people today.
We can not wait to welcome you aboard to try some of our sweet treats whilst surrounded with some of the most breathtaking views around.
