STUART LINE CRUISES CROWNED LEISURE & TOURISM BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AT PRESTIGIOUS EXETER LIVING AWARDS 2025

Stuart Line Cruises, the award-winning, family-run passenger boat company operating from Exmouth, is celebrating a major victory, having been named the Leisure & Tourism Business of the Year at the esteemed Exeter Living Awards, 2025.

The coveted accolade was presented at a glittering ceremony at Exeter’s Sandy Park, on the 17th October, recognising the company’s dedication to local excellence, outstanding customer service, and its commitment to offering year-round, high-quality experiences on the Exe Estuary.

The award is a major milestone for the business, highlighting how the family and crew have successfully blended their popular local excursions with exceptional hospitality, including a focus on locally sourced food and drink offerings. It is especially prudent given the passing of Ian Stuart to his son Jake who now runs the business alongside his mum, Philippa and partner, Lauren.

Jake Stuart commented: “Winning this award is an immense honour, and it is truly for our entire crew, who are all part of the Stuart Line family. We pride ourselves on the warm, welcoming atmosphere we create aboard our vessels, ensuring that every passenger—whether they are a local resident or a visitor—feels cherished. The recognition arrives just as the company launches its extensive and popular winter sailing schedule, encouraging locals to explore their doorstep during the colder months, as well as attracting visitors from far and wide to the local area.

Lauren added: “We often remind people that the beauty of the Exe Estuary doesn’t stop in summer. We are incredibly proud of our winter offerings—from the stunning Guided Bird Watching Cruises where guests can enjoy a hot, locally sourced pasty, to the festive magic of our Sail with Santa events and the cosy Winter River Cruises featuring home-made mulled wine and mince pies.
