Dawlish, a charming seaside town on the south coast of Devon, England, is a delightful destination offering something for everyone. Whether you're seeking stunning beaches, rich history, or simply a relaxing escape, Dawlish has you covered.

Our Dawlish Round Robin is the perfect day out for the whole family, linking the famous seaside resort of Exmouth with the equally charming seaside resort of Dawlish.

Dawlish is visible from Exmouth seafront but getting there by road takes over 1 hour, not to mention the hassle of traffic and parking and the impact of the environment! Avoid driving all the way up into Exeter and back down the other side of the River Exe and simply hop aboard our boat for a relaxing and informative cruise across the water.

This cruise is a fabulous idea for anyone who would like to combine a beautiful boat trip with a great day trip to explore one of Devon’s finest seaside towns, combining the historic and scenic railway from Dawlish to Exmouth, as you take in breathtaking views from both boat and train.

Dawlish is a seaside resort town and civil parish in the Teignbridge district on the south coast of Devon, England, 12 miles (19 km) from the city of Exeter and a similar distance from the town of Torquay.

The town grew in the 18th century from a small fishing port into a seaside resort, as had its near neighbour, Teignmouth, in the 19th century.

Dawlish is known for its beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes, and rich history. Whether you're a nature lover, a history enthusiast, or simply looking for a relaxing getaway, Dawlish offers a range of activities and attractions for all ages.

Here are some of the top things to do in Dawlish:

Immerse yourself in nature at Dawlish Warren National Nature Reserve: This 500-acre haven boasts sand dunes, a lagoon, and diverse wildlife, making it a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Hike through the reserve, spot birds like oystercatchers and redshanks, or simply relax on the beach.

Indulge in beach bliss at Dawlish Beach: This golden sandy stretch is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, building sandcastles, or simply taking a stroll along the water's edge. Enjoy stunning views of the coastline and soak up the refreshing sea air. You can even enjoy the amusement park, as you whizz round the race track or enjoy the amusement arcade.

Explore the town's charm: Dawlish boasts a delightful mix of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. Wander through the narrow streets, browse unique souvenirs, and savor delicious local food. Don't miss the famous black swans on The Lawn, a picturesque green space in the heart of town.

Delve into history at Dawlish Museum: Learn about the town's fascinating past through exhibits on maritime history, local industries, and everyday life. The museum also houses a collection of fossils, archaeological finds, and vintage photographs.
Savor a traditional cream tea: No trip to Devon is complete without indulging in a classic cream tea. Sample fresh scones, clotted cream, and jam at one of the town's many cafes, enjoying the quintessential English experience.
Take a walk along the South West Coast Path.
With its beautiful beaches, stunning landscapes, and rich history, Dawlish is an undoubtedly captivating destination for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation.

This is a remarkable day trip that will give you memories for years to come!
