Extended Jurassic Coast Cruise,
Featuring Sidmouth Airshow

Strip-SP-DA-SE

Explore the Jurassic Coast and view the famous Sidmouth Airshow, featuring the Red Arrows and more!

Embark on an extended Jurassic Coast Cruise along East Devon’s UNESCO World Heritage Site and discover the fascinating history and geology of this magnificent coastline.

Your Skipper will deliver an informative live commentary, offering an insight into rock types, formations, and the history of the coastline, which spans 95 miles from Exmouth to Old Harry Rocks in Dorset and travels through 185 million years of the Earth’s history and geology.

Your cruise will depart from Exmouth and head East along the coast, as far as the time and tide allow, before turning and heading back towards Exmouth.

Upon our return, we will call past Sidmouth to view the famously spectacular airshow, due to feature the Red Arrows, among others (planned program detailed below).

Sailing: Friday 27th August 2021
Departs: Exmouth Marina (EX8 1FE) at 14:15,
returning for approximately 19:30

Duration: Approx. 6hours

All Fares*: £25.00

*Please note, we do not recommend this cruise for children, due to the lengthy duration and nature of the commentary on the history and geology of the Jurassic Coast. This cruise is unsuitable for dogs due to the duration and noise from the air display.

The air display will commence at around 5.30pm with the Royal Navy’s Solo Wildcat Helicopter Display Team who are based at RNAS Yeovilton and who thrill audiences at many shows with their dynamic flying displays in Lynx helicopters. This year however, they are flying at only a handful of events and Sidmouth is lucky enough to be one of them.

Following this, will be the first ever appearance at Sidmouth, by Rich Goodwin who performs one of the most amazing displays of high energy, high G-force aerobatic manoeuvres ever witnessed, in his colourful Pitts Biplane.

A historic theme follows, with the RAF Dakota of the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as previously announced but now accompanying the Dakota, will also be no less than two RAF Spitfires. The prospect of a large Dakota transport flanked by two elegant Spitfires who will peel off and display separately, before re-joining in formation, will be a breath-taking sight.

Finally, returning to Sidmouth after a two-year absence due to their US Tour and restrictions last year, will be the Red Arrows who will once again delight the crowds with their perfectly synchronized flying and manoeuvrers as a fitting finale. All in all, Sidmouth Airshow 2021 is shaping up to be a real tonic and highlight of the year.

We are awaiting final details and arrangements from the Council and always, the program and participation of teams for the airshow is subject to aircraft availability and weather conditions and it is therefore possible that there may be changes to the program.
